Best Buy Robotic Autostore System – Compton, CA

Coastal Pacific Construction recently completed the infrastructure for Best Buy’s new 10,000 SF robotic Autostore System in Compton, California.

The work included a ‘superflat’ floor, steel seismic perimeter reinforcement and decking, electrical distribution and fire sprinkler system. The infrastructure allowed the 75 Autostore robots to move both horizontally and vertically on top of an aluminum prefabricated grid system 20 feet above the ‘superflat’ floor.

Additionally, Coastal Pacific Construction recently completed the infrastructure for Best Buy’s Autostore facility in Dinuba, California and is near completion on their Autostore facility in Findlay, Ohio.

CPC Wins LABJ Silver Award for Best Industrial Project

Congratulations to the Puma West Coast Distribution Center team for winning
the Silver Award for Best Industrial Project at the 
Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2018 Commercial Real Estate Awards!
 
The project included a 244,000 SF expansion of Puma’s distribution center in Torrance, California. Coastal Pacific’s main focus was to provide the infrastructure required for the install of the largest robotic Autostore System in the United States (55,000 SF). The two main components of the System’s infrastructure included achieving a ‘super flat’ floor which was achieved through the use of the Ductilcrete concrete system within the existing building, as well as providing structural perimeter support for the prefabricated vertical aluminum Autostore System. The project also included updating existing offices, the addition of a new shipping office, and a 1,000 SF breakroom.

Studio 88 Offices in Newport Beach Completed

Coastal Pacific Construction recently completed construction of Studio 88 in Newport Beach, California. Studio 88, a collaborative interior design workspace, was focused on building a first of its kind co-working space exclusively for the interior design industry. The design of Studio 88 was driven by the idea of creating a space that would promote collaboration between independent designers that would meet and network from this space. The 9,097 SF floor plan includes open offices, private offices, open collaboration areas, conference rooms and a breakroom.

Puma Distribution Center Expansion

Coastal Pacific Construction recently completed the 244,000 SF expansion of Puma’s West Coast Distribution Center in Torrance, California.

Coastal Pacific’s main focus was to provide the infrastructure required for the install of the largest robotic Autostore System in the United States. The Ductilcrete concrete system was used to achieve a ‘superflat’ floor within the existing building, as well as provide structural perimeter support for the prefabricated vertical aluminum Autostore System. This was necessary to allow for the smooth operation, both vertically and horizontally, of the 170 robots that store and retrieve Puma merchandise to be shipped.

The project also included updating existing offices, the addition of a new shipping office and a 1,000 SF breakroom.

Liquid Graphics’ New Headquarters and Production Facility

Coastal Pacific Construction has completed construction on Liquid Graphics’ new 92,000 square foot corporate headquarters, a state of the art silk screening production and design facility in Santa Ana, California. The former commercial boiler manufacturing facility, which housed heavy equipment and cranes, required a major renovation to transform the former boiler operation to a state of the art silk screening facility. On the interior, after asbestos abatement, the 50 year old offices, restrooms and break room were completely demoed back to shell condition.  This allowed Coastal Pacific Construction to bring the office, restrooms and break room up to Liquid Graphics’ corporate standards as well as meet new ADA, Title 24 and current building codes.

Liquid Graphics is a high-end designer, screen printer and producer of branded and private label apparel to the action sports, retail and entertainment industry.

Congratulations to The Jetty – 2017 Spire Award Nominee

Coastal Pacific Construction would like to congratulate Buchanan Street Partners on their recent project, The Jetty, for being a 2017 Spire Award nominee for “Best Building Renovation.” Coastal Pacific Construction served as the general contractor for The Jetty. Highlights of the Newport Beach project consists of upgrades to the exterior including signage and new landscaping, the addition of building amenities featuring a new tenant lounge and modernization of the common areas, as well as the creation of several spec suites.

Exotic Car Collection by Enterprise Facility Completed

Coastal Pacific Construction has completed construction of Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s new Exotic Car Collection rental facility. The project is located on 3.33 acres adjacent to the John Wayne Airport in Newport Beach, California. In addition to the new 7,062 SF building, the facility also has the capacity to park approximately 300 vehicles. Coastal Pacific Construction served as the general contractor and construction manager for the project.
